Treating Lower back pain in Enschede

The complaint most people come to us with. Often treatable.

Lower back pain is the complaint most people come to us with. Almost everyone experiences it at some point, and the pain usually sits low in the back, sometimes radiating into the buttock or leg.

The cause is often not where you feel the pain. A restricted joint, an overloaded muscle or a disc pressing on a nerve can all produce the same pain. That is why every treatment here starts with a thorough examination of the cause.

Common symptoms

  • Nagging or sharp pain low in the back
  • Stiffness, especially in the morning or after sitting for a long time
  • Pain radiating into the buttock, hip or leg
  • Difficulty bending, lifting or straightening up

How we help you with lower back pain

After the examination we make a diagnosis and discuss it with you. For lower back pain we often use the gentle Cox® Decompression Technique, which reduces pressure on the discs and nerves.

You also get exercises to do at home, so you hold on to the result and reduce the chance of the pain returning.

Frequently asked questions

Can a chiropractor help with lower back pain?

That depends on the cause, which is why we always start with a thorough examination. If your complaint turns out to be suitable for chiropractic care, we draw up a treatment plan that fits you. Many people experience relief, although results differ from person to person.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can book an appointment directly, without a referral from your GP.

Is the treatment reimbursed?

Chiropractic care is not part of the Dutch basic health insurance, but many insurers cover it under supplementary insurance. No deductible (eigen risico) applies. The pricing page explains how to submit your invoice.

How many treatments will I need?

That differs per person and per complaint. After the first examination we give you a realistic estimate and a plan, so you know where you stand.
